FireStorm Ranch serves as headquarters for FireStorm, a solo aerobatic display pilot flying the ARX-5R Coyote. Its layout caters directly to training and perfecting aerobatic maneuvers in between airshows. White Sands and Carrizozo are right nearby, along with the beautiful lava beds of the Carrizozo Malpais. It has its own solar farm and water tower, along with maintenance and storage hangers. Its main 3500’ runway can handle airplanes up to a DC-3, or a Learjet if you’re feeling bold. For the more competitive type, there is a race course to the southeast nearby, draped over a small mountain.
